Sniff and Scurry each possesses a different skill. How does their work together symbolize how people might successfully team up to solve problems?

Hem and Haw argue about why their Cheese has disappeared and who’s responsible. What are Hem’s arguments? What are Haw’s counterarguments? How might these present themselves in the real world?

What does the Maze represent in the story? What do the walls symbolize, and what do the various pathways represent?

Why would a Maze be a scary place? Suggest at least two reasons, and offer ways the humans might overcome their fears about each reason.
