Challenger: The Final Flight

This is a four-part docuseries on the Challenger disaster, rated TV-14. This documentary opens with a television being rolled into a classroom and devotes significant attention to how the Challenger mission involved children like Bird, Fitch, and Cash.

The documentary offers extensive, rounded coverage of the mission from its inception through its aftermath, with interviews from NASA employees, government officials, and family members of the astronauts on board. It also contains frank discussion on what exactly went wrong when the Challenger exploded, the hearings which followed to determine culpability, and addresses disconcerting ethical decisions on the part of NASA officials who might have prevented the disaster.
